President's Message

 April 2010

With the greatest appreciation I would first like to thank the more than 350 volunteers who helped make the 57th Annual Congress in Denver a huge success! Where do I begin?! From the airport greeters, the silent auction volunteers, parade participants, to the moderators and session assistants, and smiling faces at the DAORN chapter booth….thank you, thank you, thank you! Everyone’s contribution and collaboration really exemplified the Colorado hospitality and spirit that makes us unique. You did such an amazing job I hear we are hosting again in 2015! I will be happy to pass my notes and learnings on to the next Volunteer Coordinator!

Congratulations to David Wyatt who was re-elected to another term on the national Board of Directors. Please also help me congratulate Rose Seavey for completing her term on the Board and for the investment of time and dedication - everyone’s journey is different and you have our continued support! It is truly an honor to be associated with such a successful chapter of our professional organization.

As spring approaches there is a new energy as we look to the April meeting with excitement since it is being held for the first time at Project Cure, a charity near and dear to our hearts. Please join your fellow members in volunteering from 3-5pm prior to the business meeting on April 8th. In the spirit of volunteerism please remember to bring your collected donations of personal items (shampoo, tooth paste, etc.) to the meeting for the women’s shelter.

Thank you again for a successful Congress and for volunteering your time and talent! We are planning a slide show at the May meeting so please email me any pictures you would like included. And stay tuned for the “Denver Congress Top Ten List” as a special tribute to the volunteers!

Respectfully Submitted-
